Software Engineer - Remote Full-time Job

Requirements

• Develops software elements for company applications using defined best practices and standards
• Creates and performs comprehensive unit tests
• Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
• Performs root cause analysis for reported system issues
• Adheres to and participates in the code review process
• Completes work by projected deadlines while adhering to defined software development life cycle (SDLC) standards and processes
• Collaborates with IT Application Development team to devise technical solutions to meet business needs
• Supports vendor implementation projects if integration is required with existing applications
• Provides support in creation of departmental standards and diagrams
• Performs other duties as requested
  
  

What We Need From You

• Bachelor’s degree required or, in lieu of degree, prior relevant work experience
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a software engineer
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in modern web application frameworks
• Cloud Application Experience is a plus
• Strong written and oral communication skills required
• String knowledge of source code repository best practices
• Ability to manage simultaneous projects required
• Ability to work as a team member
• Demonstrated proficiency in software engineering tools

Based out of our Ann Arbor office, this key role is a work-from-home position with the possibility of occasional in-office requirements throughout the year. Eligible candidates must be located within the following states: Michigan, Ohio, Texas, Arizona, North Carolina, Virginia, or Massachusetts.
