The People Operations Manager is responsible for executing the day–to-day functions to ensure exceptional service is provided to employees, leadership, and candidates as it relates to staffing, benefits, and compensation. This position will support employee life-cycle operations from job requisition to termination. This position will ensure that all benefit plans are administered in accordance with all regulations and plan provisions and serve as the primary contact and subject matter expert to employees in providing guidance and assistance in the understanding, election, and processing of employee benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with various departments, employees, applicants and staff to provide guidance and assistance regarding recruitment, transfers, employment and personnel records.
  • Manage new hire requests and job requisitions; oversee internal and external job postings and ensure staffing issues are addressed.
  • Create and manage offer letters; and oversee post-hire paperwork, such as Form I-9 and sign-on bonuses.
  • Work with HR and Managers to ensure accurate job descriptions for positions in organization.
  • Conduct compensation analysis to determine appropriate salary level according to compensation guidelines and policy.
  • Administer base pay and incentive programs including annual merit increases and bonus plans.
  • Input termination information into HRIS; inform Payroll department and other impacted departments and provide processing support for both resignations and involuntary terminations.
  • Support employee lifecycle processes, providing internal stakeholders with new hire, termination, or transfer updates.
  • Responsible for the daily administration of all benefit plans (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Products, Disability Plans, Flexible Spending Plans, 401K plan), including but not limited to eligibility, enrollment, changes and termination of benefits.
  • Oversee open enrollment, annual benefit fair, and periodic benefit highlights to promote awareness and utilization.
  • Provide support to HR team, carriers, and employees on all benefit related issues and inquiries.Other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the department and organization

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of related HR experience or any combination of experience and education that offers the required skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracy of data, with the ability to prioritize and follow through on requests
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and HRIS platforms
  • Organizational skills and a deadline orientation that allows you to multi-task with a positive attitude, providing an extraordinary level of customer service to internal and external customers/employees
  • Ability to follow/manage processes and experience identifying/executing process improvement ideas
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with management and employees
  • Ability to handle and safeguard confidential information on a daily basis
  • General knowledge of benefits programs; for example 401(k), medical/vision/dental plans, Affordable Care Act Reform, ERISA, ADA, FMLA and disability programs
